Corrections and clarifications

· A story about the conviction of former Ald. Edward Burke that ran on Page 1 on Dec. 22 miscounted the number of Chicago aldermen convicted of crimes since 1972. In addition to Burke, at least 37 other Chicago aldermen have been convicted of crimes since 1972. The Tribune regrets the error.
