Students in the Aurora University Museum Exhibition class curated this exhibit that focuses on the importance of love, family and relationships and includes love letters, diaries, romance novels and even wedding gowns.

‘Rocky Horror’ night

The Rocky Horror Studio Show featuring Mike and The Stillmasters is at 8 p.m. Jan. 5 at The Studio in Lockport. Tickets are $10. At 900 S. State St. Studiolockport.com.

Mike and the Stillmasters will be performing “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” soundtrack and other songs. There will be a ‘Rocky Horror’ character costume contest, a “Time Warp” contest, cocktail and food specials and the movie will be shown.

Petty as Tom

Tom Petty tribute act The Heartwreckers perform at 8 p.m. Jan. 5 at The Venue in Aurora. Tickets are $15-$20. At 21 S. Broadway. 331-212-8490; themusicvenue.org.

Celebrating winter

Viking Park transforms into a winter wonderland, complete with outdoor sleigh rides, games, crafts, ice skating (weather permitting) and more. Warm up with a hot cocoa bar in the Dance Hall followed by s’mores by the fire.

Celebrate the birth of Elvis Aaron Presley with the Elvis Tribute Artist Spectacular Birthday Edition honoring his music era-by-era. The concert begins with his early rockabilly era followed by his military era. Then come the movie years and the ‘68 Comeback Special (in black leather). It closes with the Las Vegas concert era.
