Grand Superintendent Gordon Macgregor Renfrew

Gordon worked man and boy for family dairy business, delivered milk for 45years. He was an early riser, out bed at ridiculous hours, and enjoyed most of it. But does enjoy a lie in now. His main pastimes are gardening and caravanning when Masonic meetings allow

Gordon is a Master Mason of Lodge St Barchan No. 156. He joined Sir William Wallace Royal Arch Chapter No. 109 in 1984 and is a PZ and current First Principal.

Depute Grand Superintendent John H. McFarlane

John is a retired engineer. He is married with two children and three grandchildren. His hobbies are reading, walking, cycling and playing bowls.  

John is a PM Lodge Prince of wales No. 426 and PZ of Baron of Renfrew RAC No. 114, also past TIM & current Recorder of Cryptic Council, past WCN & current Recorder RAM. Served as Provincial Grand 1st Sojourner. 

Also a Past Preceptor at Paisley Abbey; Past Sovereign Paisley Abbey Conclave No. 20; Past Intendent General (Strathclyde); Past Grand Senior General Grand Imperial Council of Scotland; and member of 30th Degree of A&ASR and Royal Order of Scotland.

2nd Principal Sandy Reddy (Michael Alexander Reddy)

Sandy is a retired Chartered Accountant, serving most of his time in local government. He was part of the Internal Audit Section within Strathclyde Regional Council and latterly with Inverclyde Council. His interests outside Masonic circles are bowling and Burns. He is a Past President of Renfrewshire Bowling Association and Honorary President and Past President of Grosvenor Bowling Club. He is also a Past President of Greenock Burns Club (The Mother Club) and is well known in the West of Scotland for his readings of local poets, as well as Burns. 

Sandy is a Brother of Lodge Greenock St Johns’ No. 175. He has been in the chair of a number of the ‘red’ orders and is currently Scribe E of Greenock RAC No. 17 and the Recorder of Greenock Cryptic Council No. 17. He was Provincial Grand 3rd Principal of the Provincial Grand RAC of Renfrewshire under Grand Superintendent Robert McCulloch’s commission.

3rd Principal George Ernest Paul

George trained and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant. After holding several posts within the profession joined the former Strathclyde Regional Council as an Internal Auditor and after a few years I was promoted to the post of Chief Internal Auditor which I held until the re-organisation of Local Government in 1996;  whereupon I was appointed Manager of Audit within West Dunbartonshire Council until my retirement in 2000. Thereafter I was a Consultant mainly within the Further Education sector.

George is a Knight (Chevalier) of The Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem. He is Elder of the Church of Scotland and an Honorary Vice President of the West of Scotland Bible Society. George has just completed a degree in Theology at the University of Aberdeen.

He was initiated into Lodge Thistle and Crown No 1167 in March 1971, Exalted in Rockmount RAC No 367 in February 1972 and is a Companion of Rockmount Cryptic Council where he is presently the Depute Master. George is also a Son and Sir Knight of both the Paisley Abbey No 76 and Baron of Renfrew No 114 Lodge and Councils. A PM of Lodge Thistle and Crown (1977 – 78)

PZ Rockmount RAC (2013 – 2015), PP St George Preceptory (2014 – 2016), PS Paisley Abbey Conclave No 20 (2015 – 2016) and also a member of the Glasgow and West of Scotland Royal Order of Scotland and an Excellent and Perfect Companion of The Stewart Lochrie Sovereign Chapter 197 and A member of Saltire Tabernacle 121 of the HRA Knight Templar Priests.

Scribe E Kevin Pollock

Kevin is a retired police officer, with a PhD in Crisis Management. He now has his own consultancy with clients including the UK and Scottish Governments. Kevin is also an Academic Fellow of the UK Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College.

Kevin is a PM of Lodge Craigends No. 1042, RWM Lodge Randolph No. 1434 and founder member and current WJD of Anchor Lodge of Research No. 1814. He served 8 years as a Substitute PGM of Renfrewshire East. Currently MEH Baron of Renfrew RAC No. 114, Depute Master Cryptic Council and Shem in RAM. He is Preceptor of Ardgowan (2nd year) and Sovereign of Paisley Abbey Conclave. In the A&SR Kevin is a Past MWS of Stewart Lochrie Sovereign Chapter and Grand Orator of Glasgow Sovereign Council No. 43. He has served 5 years as a Steward of the Royal Order of Scotland, and Member of several Other Orders. 

Scribe N James Kavanagh

James is retired. He served his time as a maintenance fitter turner, after which he went to sea with the Merchant Navy. He served for 5 years achieving the rank of 3rd Engineer. On returning to shore he served with a number of engineering firms including Scot Lithgow, Rolls Royce, Wickman Langs, and finished with Babcocks.

James joined Masonry in 1980, at Lodge Georgetown No. 1170. He has served as Master on 3 occasions. He joined Baron of Renfrew RAC No. 114 in 1989. He is a PZ and currently TIM in the Cryptic Council and Japhet in the RAM. James in the Orator in Paisley Abbey Conclave and Conductor in Stewart Lochrie Sovereign Chapter. He is also a member of Glasgow Sovereign Council.
