PGRAC Prostate Awareness Initiative

One Masonic Family

The Grand Superintendent will launch this awareness and assistance initiative at the Convocation on 10th June, 2023 at Maxwelton Road, Paisley.

The aim is to promote awareness of all prostate disease and offer a safe place for any Companions to seek assistance or simply talk about their fears or concerns.

We are delighted to be sharing the initiative with Renfrewshire East and Renfrewshire West and both Provincial Grand Masters and our own Grand Superintendent are fully supporting the plan.  The Intendent General for the Red Cross of Constantine is also behind the initiative for the two conclaves within Renfrewshire.

Prior to the launch we need local group leaders at every Chapter, Lodge and Council and Council. It can of course be the same person if they are members of all 3 or 2 where applicable.

Lodges in Renfrewshire East and West will be looking for the same. It can however be an appointment that is shared or one person per building. For Example, Prince of Wales 426 and the 3 RA Orders at 114 can have the same representative locally.

Our aim is to have printed information available at each meeting. It will be the local representative duty to ensure the information is available and to promote the cause at committee meetings locally.

Prostate Scotland will provide training to all volunteers.

Going forward Local Champions will also be required. This is a support level and again full training will be provided.

Both posts are NOT to be viewed as an additional duty for Secretaries, Scribes Recorders. It is perhaps an opportunity for a member who perhaps is uncomfortable with floor work to become involved and make a valuable contribution to the Order.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with both Provinces and help each other. Royal Arch representatives and Lodge Reps will work together in distributing information.

We will be sharing details of events such as “Walk and Talk” “Breakfast clubs.”

This plan knows no boundaries, one masonic family helping each other.

The Grand Lodge of Scotland, Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Scotland and Prostate Scotland are fully behind us in delivering this.

Any person wishing to volunteer or who requires some additional information to contact:
